The Citroen C4 is a spacious, quiet mid-size 5-door hatch with a commodious boot and plenty of space for five adults, loaded with equipment and safety features.

It offers a class leading average fuel consumption of just 4.7 litres per 100 km, but still provides space, comfort and luxury. Its range on a tank of fuel can be well over 1000 km, yet it still delivers performance and handling to delight the most demanding of drivers.

The C4 HDi’s 1.6 litre diesel engine uses the latest common rail direct injection technology, aided by a variable displacement turbocharger with an overboost feature to provide extra torque under acceleration.

The car also employs the latest sound deadening technology and computer-controlled engine mounts to minimise vibration and noise transmission.

Safety features include ABS brakes, electronic stability programme (ESP), cruise control with speed limiter and central locking that locks the boot automatically and which can be set to lock the doors when the C4 HDi goes above 10 kmh.

Equipment levels are superb. The unique Citroen steering wheel operates speed sensitive power steering. Front and rear windows and locks are power operated. A CD audio system provides a high quality of sound entertainment.
