The Hyundai Getz has a lot of fun appeal to it, whether you’re looking at the 3-door hatchback or the 5-door hatchback.

The 1.6-litre Getz was also named Australia's Best Small Car for 2005, judged by Australia's auto clubs, and was also declared as the most affordable light car to own and run by NRMA Motoring and Services.

The 78kW/144Nm 1.6-litre four-cylinder engine has double overhead cams and 16-valve heads, enabling it to produce 78kW of power at 5800rpm and 144Nm of torque. You have the choice of a 5-speed manual transmission or an optional 4-speed automatic.

Standard equipment includes air-conditioning, steering wheel-mounted audio controls and MP3/WMA-compatible audio, power windows, electric door mirrors, remote central locking with alarm, power steering, heater ducting to rear footwells and split-fold rear seats.

All Getz models have active front head restraints that cantilever forward to minimise whiplash neck injury in a rear-end impact. Other safety features include dual front airbags, front seatbelt pre-tensioners and load-limiters, two side-impact beams in each front door and one each in rear doors, and a full-size spare wheel.
